If you are a photographer and you don't know Stephanie Rausser, I'm glad to introduce you to one of the most amazing photographers I've known to date. Her images make me want to be a better photographer. Simple as that. And they make me smile =)
I found out about her work less than 2 years ago (I guess) and I instantly fell in love with the happines and perfection of it. She's not a family photographer but she shoots lots of kids for her editorial, advertising and commercial work.
During my holidays in California I was lucky enough not to only meet her but to also photograph Stephanie Rausser and her beautiful daughter Kiki in their home sweet home in Petaluma, near San Francisco. Kiki is now a famous little girl, I'll tell more about it afterwards :) Anyway, it was amazing! I left her home admiring her as a person as well, no longer only as a photographer.
On my way back to my friend's house (by the way, she makes the most amazing truffles) in Irvine (near LA) I edited the entire session. Inside the car! My husband was driving, of course :) I was dying to see it and also to show her the results. I loved the email she sent me when she saw her online gallery. Steph said she loved soooo many!!!!! Told me her absolutely faves and mentioned how she loved the naturalness of all the shots. The end was: "I am so happy we met!"...well, I can say the same Steph!
Steph, I will forever cherish this day and these images. Sooo glad you loved them as much as I did. And I can't wait to shoot the entire family next time :)

And this is Kiki's famous doll named Coco. More about this in a separate post but stay tuned because Stephanie Rausser is launching a children's book called Kiki & Coco in Paris. Full of beautiful images of Kiki in Paris with her best friend Coco :) And guess what??? I'll be ruffling a signed/autographed copy of her book here once it's released! How cool is that!!! :)

Se vc é fotógrafo ou fotógrafa e ainda não conhece a Stephanie Rausser, eu terei o prazer de te apresentar uma das melhores fotógrafas que eu já conheci até hoje. Stephanie é a minha fotógrafa favorita. As fotos dela me fazem querer ser uma fotógrafa melhor, aprender mais e mais a cada dia. Simples assim :)
Eu conheci o trabalho dela uns 2 anos atrás, acho eu. Me apaixonei na hora pela alegria e pela perfeição das imagens. A Stephanie Rausser não é fotógrafa de família mas ela fotografa muito crianças nos trabalhos publicitários que faz e também em editoriais.
Durante as minhas férias na California, eu tive a sorte de conhecê-la pessoalmente e melhor ainda, de poder fotografá-la com a filha Kiki, de 8 anos. O ensaio foi na casa delas em Petaluma, pertinho de San Francisco. Foi um convite que me deixou alguns dias sem dormir de tanta alegria! Tive coragem, fala a verdade? rsss. Quando saí de lá passei a admirar a pessoa e não somente a fotógrafa Stephanie Rausser.
Na volta pra casa da minha amiga Cris em Irvine, pertinho de Los Angeles, eu editei o ensaio todo dentro do carro! rsss...meu marido tava dirigindo claro! Eu tava doida pra ver as fotos! Amei o email que ela me mandou depois que viu a galeria, dizendo que amou a naturalidade das fotos e que tinha amado absolutamente todas...me disse quais eram as super favoritas...adorei! :) E fiquei muito feliz de saber que ela amou essas fotos tanto quanto eu. No post vc viu essas nossas fotos preferidas. Fotos de um domingo comum de manhã, na sua própria casa :)
A última foto é a famosa boneca da Kiki chamada Coco (de Coco Chanel, chique né?). Vou falar sobre isso num outro post mas a Stephanie Rausser tá lançando um livro infantil chamado Kiki & Coco in Paris, dentro de algumas semanas. Livro cheio de imagens que ela fez da Kiki durante uma viagem delas a Paris, onde ela não desgrudava da sua boneca favorita, a Coco :)
E adivinhem!!! Vou sortear uma cópia autografada do livro aqui no blog dentro de algumas semanas! Demais né?
